Rumson Jewish Center at Congregation B’nai Israel (RJC@CBI),  formerly Congregation B'nai Israel was founded in Red Bank, New Jersey in 1922 has been at the center of Jewish life in our area since that time. Dedicated to serving the religious, cultural and educational needs of our community RJC@CBI is our Jewish home...a place for prayer, reflection, spirituality, shared observance and social mingling...a place to honor life-cycle events and celebrate together.

A multi-generational, egalitarian, conservative synagogue, we are committed to providing a stimulating, welcoming and supportive environment for all our members. We actively seek new members to grow our community and ensure its ongoing vitality.

Education is central to all we do. We are dedicated to educating our children and ourselves to appreciate the values, customs and history of our Jewish heritage, to live a life of mitzvot, and to transmit the love of Judaism and pride in our Jewish identity to succeeding generations.

Rumson Jewish Center at Congregation B'nai Israel has more than 250 families as members, hosts a vibrant and inclusive religious school and one of the city's most respected early learning centers. We are proud of how each member brings his or her own story to our diverse community—such as those who have a multi-generational history at our congregation and those new to the city or Rumson Jewish Center at Congregation B'nai Israel, of all ages and backgrounds who are seeking a Jewish community – a place to call home.

Learning

Our educational programs are first-class, with an early learning center onsite, one of the finest fully inclusive religious schools, and a robust adult education program. Our goal is to provide for a lifetime of Jewish learning. We also host a sizable library and media center, wherein our members may check out materials at no charge.

Prayer & Worship

We offer a dynamic blend of worship opportunities that span from the small and intimate in our chapel to services in our main sanctuary. Rumson Jewish Center at Congregation B'nai Israel is a truly awe-inspiring place in which to practice Jewish ritual life.
